DISCOVER THE ART OF PRIMITIVE POTTERY

Aravart
Primitive Wild Clay Pottery Workshop in the Arava Desert

Join a transformative journey to the ancient art of pottery and beads making with natural clay in primitive methods, against the backdrop of the amazing Arava Desert, a historic crossroads for ancient tribes from all over the world along the Incense Route, a network of trade routes extending over two thousand kilometers to facilitate the transport of frankincense and myrrh from the Yemen and Oman in the Arabian Peninsula to the Mediterranean.

In the workshop you will connect with nature, learn ancient techniques, and create tools or beads that serve as lasting souvenirs of your experience, using only natural materials and tools, culminating in a traditional pit fire as our ancestors once did.
